Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Mac ’n’ Cheese Throwdown. Our volunteers are truly the backbone of the event, and your time and energy help make this celebration welcoming, organized, and fun for everyone who attends.
Whether you’re helping guests, supporting vendors, or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, you play a vital role in creating an unforgettable day.
What to expect as a volunteer
What to Wear
- You’ll receive a W.A.G.S. 4 Kids volunteer t-shirt to wear during your shift
- Comfortable pants, shorts, leggings, or a skirt you don’t mind getting a little messy
- Comfortable, closed-toe shoes (required)
- Please plan to be responsible for your own valuables during the event
Water will be provided throughout the day.
Volunteer Expectations
Our volunteers help set the tone for the entire festival. A friendly, respectful, and welcoming attitude is essential to creating the positive vibe that keeps guests, vendors, and sponsors coming back year after year.
We ask that all volunteers:
- Report to your volunteer coordinator 10 minutes before your scheduled shift
- Work well with W.A.G.S. 4 Kids staff, fellow volunteers, vendors, and attendees
- Give your best effort and stay on task during your shift
- Dress appropriately and arrive ready to work
- Remain free of alcohol or other substances during your shift
If you have concerns, questions, or issues during the event, please direct them to your Volunteer Captain, who will work with the volunteer coordinator to help resolve the situation.
Volunteers may sample beverages they are serving and are welcome to enjoy mac ’n’ cheese after their shift. Volunteers must remain sober while on duty.
