The Man v. Mac Challenge is a featured mac ’n’ cheese eating competition that takes place twice during the event, each as its own standalone challenge with its own winner and prize.
Participants face off head-to-head using the same dish, the same portion, and a fixed time limit, while the crowd cheers them on. No eliminations. No brackets. Just bold appetites and big energy.
How it works:
- Two Man v. Mac challenges take place during the event
- Each challenge crowns its own winner
- Winners receive a prize and serious bragging rights
How to participate:
Man v. Mac is a limited, pre-registered challenge with a participation fee that directly supports W.A.G.S. 4 Kids. Registration opens online in advance of the event. No day-of signups will be available.Prizes include gift cards and other surprises—because nothing pairs with mac like groceries, gas perks, and bragging rights.

Best Dressed Mac
Cheese is a lifestyle.
Guests are encouraged to show up in their cheesiest, boldest, most creative mac-inspired looks. Whether it’s subtle cheese energy or full commitment, Best Dressed Mac celebrates those who lean into the spirit of the Throwdown.

During the event, a panel of independent judges conducts blind tastings in the Classic Mac and Modern Mac categories. Judges do not see vendor booths, branding, or service teams, ensuring every dish is evaluated on its own merit.

Families are invited to stop by Bella Faccia Face Painting, offering playful, professional face painting throughout the event. From simple designs to colorful creations, this activity adds an extra layer of fun for kids while parents continue to enjoy tastings and activities nearby.

The Throwdown wraps with an Awards Ceremony honoring standout dishes, chefs, and moments from the event—including competition awards, crowd favorites, and a special 10th Anniversary Legacy honor.
